FNEAA’s Canada Day Message

FNEAA’s Canada Day Message

Posted on June 30, 2022

Students and Administrators from Nisga'a Elementary School

Celebrate Canada Day 2022 by recognizing the incredible transformation that Canada is undergoing with First Nations control of First Nations education as First Nations move towards self-determination and self-governance. FNEAA honours and recognizes First Nations Knowledge Keepers, youth, education administrators, directors of education, chiefs and councils and community members for their important transformative work. This is a time to celebrate the change taking place across the country at all levels as First Nations own their voices and move forward with joy and love to embrace their languages, culture, traditions and communities.

Share in the innovations taking place across Canada through the voices and best practices taking place in First Nations schools at FNEAA website and YouTube Channel

A still from Ruth Duncan’s Storyteller Entry video

Celebrate Canada Day with First Nations students across Canada who participated in FNEAA’s Storyteller Awards with over 50 videos, artworks and animations that celebrate First Nations language, culture and traditions. You are invited to view these wonderful submissions at https://fneaa.ca/storyteller-entries/.
