First Nations students (Kindergarten to age 30) were invited to submit videos and artwork that tell stories of their First Nations cultures and everyday life. The following entries showcase their identity, their schools and their nation.

1. Aneesa & Alyssa

Gr 10 & 11, Fredericton High School, King Clear First Nation, NB

“Disconnected” shows the appreciation for life lessons that growing up in a small community can give you and concern for future generations. By visiting as many significant places in Bilijk (Kingsclear First Nation) that the snow allowed, Aneesa and Alyssa reflected on life lessons from places around their community. Considering both disconnection from land in future generations with the increase use of technology, this short video tells a story of appreciation, hope and connection.
