Posted on October 24, 2025

We are pleased to announce an information session about the FNEAA Indigenous Education Leadership Certificate taking place on Friday, October 24, at 11:00 am EST. The session will run for one hour and will be co-led by Simon Brascoupé and Maureen Johns.

During this workshop, participants will receive detailed information about the certificate program, including the 10 leadership seminars that make up the program. These seminars cover essential skills, knowledge, and best practices for First Nations education administrators and leaders. The final assignment, which can take various forms—a written case study, video presentation, graphic, or other creative formats that reflect your leadership experience and learning.

If you’re unable to attend live, you can register below, and a recording will be sent to you.

This certificate is more than just a credential; it is a recognition of your leadership journey, your dedication to student success, and your commitment to integrating Indigenous knowledge and best practices into education systems. It also honours the balance between professional responsibilities and the necessity for ongoing development in a way that is achievable and meaningful.
We invite all interested leaders, administrators, and educators to join us for this workshop to discover how the certificate can support your professional growth and strengthen First Nations education across Canada.
