| Dear FNEAA Members, We are pleased to share the upcoming phases of the First Nations Education Leadership Seminar Series. These sessions aim to strengthen educational leadership rooted in Indigenous knowledge, seasonal cycles, and community priorities. This seminar series forms part of the FNEAA First Nations Education Leadership Certificate Program. Participants who complete all seminars and submit a final case study on leadership in their community or school will earn the FNEAA Leadership Certificate. Alternatively, you can earn a Certificate of Completion by reflecting on each seminar. 🍂 September 18, 2025 –11:00 am to 12:00 pm EST Seminar 1: Leadership Essentials Build a strong foundation for the school year with culturally grounded approaches to Indigenous educational leadership. Seminar 2: Policy & Funding Explore equitable funding models, governance coordination, and policy strategies to support self-determination in education. View Past Seminars 🍁 November 13, 2025 –11:00 am to 12:00 pm EST Seminar 3: Community Engagement Strengthen relationships with Elders, parents, and Knowledge Keepers through culturally appropriate engagement and decision-making. Seminar 4: Curriculum & Instruction Integrate Indigenous knowledge, language, and land-based learning into K-12 education through culturally responsive teaching. Seminar 3 & 4 ❄️ January 16, 2026 – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm EST Seminar 5: Staff & Teacher Development Support teachers with mentorship, recruitment strategies, and trauma-informed, culturally safe practices. Seminar 6: Measurement & Assessment Introduce Indigenous Culturally Responsive Assessment (ICRA) approaches to honour diverse student strengths and voices. Seminar 5 & 6 🌱 April 23, 2026 – 11:00 am to 12:00 pm EST Seminar 7: Health & Well-Being Focus on holistic wellness practices, including land-based healing, cultural safety, and intergenerational trauma support.
